Man With A Kite Looks at the Drone

Yes I am still on leave from chess and for that matter from tennis too. I ran into an old tennis acquaintance at the Home Depot a place I often hang out and no I was not in my wheel chair but walking around like a normal guy with an armful of hardware stuff. It boiled down to My not playing tennis anymore but only rarely due to my interest in online chess and the fact that I am battling Parkinson's classified as being moderate. Chess like I've been saying all along should be played like the Magnus Larsen way play chess because it is fun. As a kite flyer who uses my own kite launcher this hobby of mine like all hobbies has its drawbacks. It is marked by the frustrations of the kite fl ring in any direction God wants it to fly. Yes it is true it is me against God when I have my kites launched into the heavens and when God wants to he can strike my kite down at any time. A kite will always get caught up in a tree or stuck in your house or the house of a neighbors. I say to all mothers and tell your children not to do what I have done. I have lived my life in sincere misery in the house of the kites which are bound to crash and get caught by the kite eating trees and the roofs of building dwellings. Chess does not have this problem. But as yet I am not prepared to return to the chess game in fact I may never play again I really don't know I have not a clue. I fear that the simplicity of this blog is comparable to the novel "Catcher In The Rye" by JD Salinger. Bill Gates read that book as well as I. Bill Gates and I have so much in common it is pathetic except his assets are far more than mine being in the neighborhood of some sixty billion more than what I have not. And we both dropped out of college. Okay so you are asking what is my point? If anyone and many have read "Catcher In The Rye" then anyone can read this blog Nerves Galore" because it too is so simple that you don't have to be a genius like Bill Gates to read such a book. Yes grown man such as myself is writing about the pursuits of kite flying. Insane you say. I do see beauty in the model aircraft which can fly and I have been teased by the toy remote controlled helicopter a hovering toy something with which was not invented when I was a child but have discovered with glee that it flies indoors with dependability. But these types of hovering aircraft(model) don't fly worth beans outdoors. I know I tried them and loss a fortune on those one hundred a dollar toy helicopter designed for outdoors. I was taken deceived into thinking that since they worked so well indoors the outdoor ones would also work well. Fast forward to drones. As most of us know drones do work and they can and will hover indoors and even better outdoors. It is indeed in the cards and I will fly the remote controlled drone thousands if not millions of us do so then why not you or me?
