In my report of a book entitle "The Rise And The Fall Of The Roman Empire" such a hard go of trying got me nowhere. My report didn't fly. This post will fly it will take off and it will be in your face whether you like it or not. Yes it has risen where it rises and for how long is any ones guess. China is in our faces make no mistake about it. You cannot buy a product not made in China says John Rothmann KGO radio talk show host 810 of San Francisco. An economy is built around the ability of that country to manufacture and distribute their product around the world. China has risen and will continue to rise. Don't worry about it falling the fall only makes that country mad as hell humiliated beyond any scope enough to bounce back higher. What you say?How could China ever be a world power economically when they have William Hung running around? Aren't all Chinese especially the males nerdy like? How you say could a people of misfits become a superpower?

The Rush The Blood The Nerves

Now the grammar is all wrong but tell the rappers where they all went wrong and I will grow strong. It's all guy stuff today time to play rough and feel tough don't you go away in a huff. Call this a bluff and I will go away with enough spare me the cuffs I never took not a puff my lady is dressed she's not in the buff. Don't mind me I'm coming down from a rush my blood it did gush and my face is in a blush. Hush I say don't step on my mush one game was enough my opponent was in full gear with claws of a bear he/she came with no fear you could not clear any air my heart was a pounding you could hear it sounding the attack was relentless so I looked for invention to stay in the game rather than to take the blame don't make me stay the same I was just looking a little for fame not for losing or shame. Don't you know I'm a product of the city don't you show me no pity don't mind me for being so low down and gritty.

Elin Nordegren who?

Elin Nordegren is a name that very few people know. Who is she? You have enough problems don't you to know dumb news stories about Tiger Woods don't you? Do I have a sponsor who wants to advertise and back my blog for all the viewers who read my blog? I know not of such a thing. All I know is that a prenuptial issue is in the picture if Tiger Woods is going through a potential turmoil in his life in his marriage. Some say he should not have had a prenuptial agreement while others say he would have been insane not to. Good God why should anyone care? Just because I went on the air to comment on this story doesn't mean I have one interest or care in Tiger Woods. Golf is great only because I admire the grass so green and lush and looking good for mansions standing by it something that I have not accomplished in my life I have no bragging rights to the cultivation of grass. By the way I did visit a golf course club house at a birthday party honoring my aunt Blanche wife of my late father's brother Ed. The story of Tiger Woods is in our face like it or not there is no escape. Am I being strangled to death like many of us by this story? We laughed and we joked about Bill Clinton and his affair a prelude to more serious issues like 911 the attack on American soil. Don't we have better things to think about than a man who plays golf?

The Game And The Activated Nerves

It is all about the nerves that get worked over. It happens on line in a game of you guessed it....chess or any competitive game. Chess is a game. And the machines have taken over what with the machines scoring higher ratings than what a human can do. Don't just take my word for it anyone can look it up. Machines are a good learning aid they can pitch up a storm and prepare one for the toughest match. I don't really like the nerves playing into my being it isn't comfortable and the suspense kills me. I'm not going to repeat what Joe Montana told me and that was if you hate losing more than you like winning...well it's what he said which is what motivated him the great legend of the game. I said I wasn't going to repeat myself. I lied.

The Notorious Who Look Alike

Do notorious white men look alike? I thought I'd capture your imagination. Yes I would get very nervous if I called up Bill Wattenburg and asked him has anyone noticed the uncanny similarities between David Berkowitz and Al Capone in their physical facial appearance? I might get away with asking such a question and topic of discussion but golly molly I might get a bit nervous asking. But anyone out there go ahead and google up a picture of these men and you will see a chilling resemblance of these two men. So you think I have better things to do with my life? I'm not the only one to notice this. It isn't just my imagination trust me follow me and join my club.

Osama Bin Laden

I urged Ronn Owens to have Osama Bin Laden on his show....why not? Larry King had the notorious serial killer known as the "son of Sam" on his show. What if it happened? What if Ronn Owens did get Osama Bin Laden on his show? That would be incredible but it could happen. I could do my thing and call him up who knows yes it would be weird it is true I never heard of a criminal such as Osama Bin Laden taking phone calls on the air from callers. But I would call nevertheless. I would take that chance. We know approximately where he is hiding and if we were able to get Saddam Hussein and hang him I say we go get Osama Bin Laden and hang him high after we give him a fair trial. But guess what? It's not going to happen that way exactly. Then why do I say it? It's just so much fun to that's why.

Manny Pacquiao vs Bruce Lee

It's so obvious but for you computer generated wizards draft one up and show them fighting in a boxing match and then in a street fight. I don't even have to give my two cents in. I'd rather watch such a video than the up coming fight against Mayweather fighting Pacquiao in a few months or so from now an all time money making prize for the contestants. Ho hum I say life is but a bowl of cherries.

Kim Phuc A Girl Who Ran For Her Life

Yes she was the one. My wife saw the picture and she was amazed. I did say I would draw such a picture. Never have I drawn a picture of a naked girl until now. It was a naked girl running in the street burned from a fire a picture that made me cry as stony as my face can be ordinarily when it comes to emotions. I am pleased with this picture I have drawn as it does speak a thousand words. Her name is Kim Phuc and she lives to this day thank goodness. Notice that I have flashbacks of the Vietnam war days and no I wasn't even a soldier back then. It took great nerve to go into that war into Vietnam as an American soldier and when many came back they would never be the same again. How do I know? I can tell you the countless soldiers I have interviewed when they came.

My Never Ending Journal

This blog is my journal so to speak. Promoting it isn't what I am known for. Although I am on the air from time to time as a talk show caller I have never mention the name of my blog. Chances are the hosts of such radio programs would take a dim view of my doing so. If I never talk again as a caller to any news talk shows then more power to me I say. Sometimes or maybe even more probable I would be better off. But be it as it may be as Ray Taliaferro would phrase it on his late night or morning weekday show from one to five mornings. Often enough I think I would be better off not being out there as I have an anonymous person talking to a known talk show host my last name is hidden. But some people know. Nevertheless it is in my blood to express myself in journal form for better or for worst my marriage to a journal will end when I die and even then I'll still be expressing myself beyond my present life.

Vietnamese Girl On Fire Running Down Road

This photo shot was an award winning photo shot. I googled it thinking it might make a picture I would draw and yes I might draw it once my lighting is right. Drawing pictures is my hobby I am moved by artist such as Pablo Picasso who drew thousands of pictures and I am also moved by this famous photograph into tears strange for a man like me who normally show my emotions with a face of stone. Such a picture I am about to draw will be a show piece I will hang in my house the drawing or the art or whatever you will call it will bring out the life in me the history of it all of life's tragedy in such a meaningless war one no one I knew relished in participating in. My American comrades were there in Vietnam and I question whether they had the nerve to do what they did. I suppose they were merely following out orders. How sad.

Tiger Woods

I had the nerve to call up a talk show in response to Ray Taliaferro. My leg wasn't shaking nor my hands. It's not my nerves so much as it is another condition which I'm not going to discuss at this point. Any how the topic was about Tiger Woods. Tiger isn't talking or giving interviews to anyone but if he would it would be with Taliaferro. I'll get into the reason why later. It happen with Barry Bonds too yet Bonds did in fact have an interview with Taliaferro but he wouldn't with anyone else. The same would be the case with Tiger Woods. Being a big name celebrity and being attacked by the media puts the spotlight upon these celebrities where they don't want it to be. But I was willing to speak to either of these men I already had to Andre Agassi some days ago. But Andre was in the clear so to speak and his book called "Court" had been a run away best seller on the New York Times list. But I did have my nerve to ask the forbidden questions about the ban substances namely performing enhancing drugs. Professional athletes want to stay a million miles away from this subject but I'd be the first one to yell it and deny I ever used steroids. Hitting gutter balls on the tennis courts is a sure sign I never used steroids and no one but no one bowls bowling balls on the tennis courts unless....please....don't mind me.

The Nerve to Brag Will Not Even Lag

Maybe if I were younger then I'd rant and rave how glorious it is for China to become a superpower but now no I cannot do that. One would think that at an older age bragging right have become a thing of the past when the young and the restless want power and recognition. Anyhow enough of this. The transition from rags to riches and now a descending spiral toward a retraction of star power is what has culminated. Somewhere down the line I will explain but meanwhile you will be left confused. Let me put it bluntly the Asian Nation of China is not like the new kid on the block this so called kid has been there before and the light will shine from time to time. Sounds like what Confucius would have wrote no? My son has no ideal what I am talking about. Let the middle agers and then some roll.

The Talk Show

I was just on with perhaps a million people listening to me speaking with Bill Wattenburg a former professor of physics at UC Berkeley. The topic was about the economic powers in particular China with the rank of three in the world as a nation of industrial might having overtaken Germany for the number three spot and in a year will quite possibly overtake Japan for the number two spot economically. With The United States in the number....oh excuse me this isn't about a blog on the economy it's about having the nerve to do certain tasks. I wasn't nervous speaking a few minutes ago. I'm so use to it not to say I could slip up and make a horrendous mistake God forbid. I'm too tired now for another game of on line chess and I would hate to hell to lose another game with somone close to my ratings let alone any chess player. Do you think I have fun playing chess while in a state of fatigue? Good night.

Nerves

Have you ever been nervous? It happens to me every time I play a rated game of chess. I just played a rated game and so I shall relate my experiences of the things that make me a bundle of nerves. Playing humans do it to me in chess. I don't mind losing to a chess playing computer but a human who plays me in chess close to my level of chess can easily do it to me.

Speaking to a talk show host use to do it to me but after some years of doing it I became use to going before a large audience on the radio and giving my best in my opinion concerning a news topic of discussion. But in the beginning golly moses I was so nervous I couldn't speak straight enough. This is common for many of talk show callers new to the show. By now you would think that I could get use to playing on line chess against other humans but no my threshold for tolerance is or has not been reached; I get so wound up and crazy! Whether I can get use to it and hold my own and not get nervous remains to be seen. Some things one can never get use to like the fear of heights looking over the rails or gates atop of the Grand Canyon for instance where falling is within the odds. Watch out always!
