It looks like this blog on chess is still available for me to report on although I have not played any chess games since Yahoo ended the line of on line chess since as they reported things were getting obsolete. I still think of the game of chess since for some four years beginning in 2009 I began writing this blog mainly on online chess but will probably find another similar game in another format. But I have not given up blogging and I have this fear of blogging just as I did when playing online chess looking over my shoulders. Right now as I have mentioned I am battling not the chess opponents for I have taken a rest and a long long time out maybe forever or maybe not I do not know for sure. But I am battling Parkinson's and this does not help any game and I wish it not for anyone to have this wretched malady. If anyone studying this case history of my parkinson's perhaps it may lead to a link in the curing of this disease but I see no imminent cure in the foreseeable future just maybe wishful thinking on my part. Someone give me a clue for I am not an expert nor to I have the means or funds to pursue this disease like Michael J. Fox all I can think of is perhaps some insight in leading to some kind of cure as there is no cure I know of. Parkinson's is not a death sentence as Ronn Owens relates and he came out about his case of Parkinson's once he found out about the suicide of comedian Robin Williams. I am learning about Parkinson's disease just as most of my readers are learning the only difference is that I have this disease but in public most people cannot tell the difference so far only one clerk knew who also had training in a hospital for the treatment of theses illnesses. But one obvious significance or insignificance depending how one looks at the matter is that most of the time I can be identified as being Asian and that is because when I am seen in public….
My more current blog is called Journalism Reports and I attempt to explain the news in America primarily in the San Francisco or northern California since I live there and I am an American with a knowledge of the Asian culture and I was encouraged by radio personality an expert to tell my story based on being an occasional talk show caller on a news radio show with very high ratings at one time. A word of caution for mothers with children tell them not to do as I have done for my blogs are filled with run on sentences as two of my nastiest critics have told me.

Deep Brain Stimulation For Parkinson's and The Game Of Chess
In the past day I've noticed that my views for yesterday have gone to the highest views for this particular blog. It doesn't really surprise me because people really want to know how Parkinson's can affect the thinking processes. Now it is clearly evident that no candidate should be approved for a deep brain operation afflicted with Parkinson's if they will be worsened by such an operation or surgery as examined by a neurologist and evaluated. The first thing I did as a result of my denial for approval for DBS was to google cognizant tests for patients with Parkinson's. My father had Parkinson's too when he past his eightieth birthday but he didn't even know. I'm trying to digest this news very seriously. I also remain in a series of the last sixteen games of chess in a slump but I'm probably playing better players having gone to a social category where I am more willing to play anyone with any rating and beat them on a good day. The hard cold facts that my ratings have fallen to a near 1000 chess rating but from there I usually can take it up to 1200 and beyond. Pretty boring stuff for those non playing chess players I'd say. My other blog called Journalism Reports might have more mass appeal since it involves the news generally and not just the news of my personal experiences of online chess. A very smart and gifted man by the name of Marty Nemko has directed and advised me to commence with these blogs and if it were not for him I would never have begun such an endeavor.
Why I Can Teach Chess
The impetus is there. I wrote about my experiences of online chess now for those of you who want to take up on it then it is for you to make the decision. If you are committed to the game you will learn it. One of my big biggest thrills in chess are the admirers of chess who spot me playing the game with the dead serious look upon my face and the faces of my opponent each player prepared to crush the other and annihilate the opposition. One admirer of the game who was fascinated by the aura of the players and the pieces which layer before the contestants I recalled was name Sylvia who played like the average run of the mill family member with mother with son kind of family game. But where I was playing involved my reputation among my fellow coworkers and to display these chess pieces openly in broad view of my fellow working class people or shall I name them comrades(no they were not communists) was a statement I was making which indicated my nerves and reputation was at stake and I would not lose willingly my every intention was to win after all I was coached by one best competitors in the field of football namely Joe Montana and my question to him is what goes on in his mind when he knows his team his behind and he has just minutes or less maybe just seconds to turn the game around for a win. His answer which I had never heard before was that if you hate losing more than you like winning….his coaching never made me a champion like he was but his advice made me try my best to my ability even though I fell way short of winning at times. Again those were his words which clung to me to this day If You Hate Losing More Than You Like Winning…for me to be one of the chess playing guys was important rather than be the fool or the loser but I made myself quite clear I did not want to lose in any shape, form or way. Sylvia knew very well that I had every intention to try my best and be all that I could be. The pressure was not on me to win when I was showing her the moves and how to move. When she realized she made one move better than mine to move into checkmate as instructed her to do she suddenly went mad and announced to everyone that she had won she had won and I saw her as dead serious she wasn't joking. For her to win in chess was better than winning the Super Lottery. With this in mind I didn't take the lost so bad and in fact I thought this was my best lost for I had become at that time the greatest teacher of chess making her realize she could beat such a dead serious chess player as myself. I never realized how I could be so good!

My Addiction With Yahoo Online Chess Is Over
It isn't because I have Parkinson's disease that I have ended reporting on online chess my experience with online chess was based on my interest in Yahoo and their game they offered in chess online where in my mind and most others we were playing others but Yahoo reported that such a game they offered in chess online had become obsolete. Thus my reporting on chess also ended. Yes it is my understanding that Parkinson's is progressive but still as far as I am concerned I have the disease under control. You my reader might think otherwise but like Ronn Owens who most recently in just days ago announced he has had the disease as well but decided to go public with it since he felt as he has stated that Robin Williams ended his life as we all know in part because he had an early diagnose of Parkinson's disease plus the fact that he was being treated for other ailments of which I am not qualified to mention. In my blogs I have not made my disease a major issue because in part a person with Parkinson's can live a life near normal if treated for this disease as I have learned off the internet and as Ronn Owen's has publicly stated unless I am mistaken. I do not speak for Ron Owens but read him as any other one of his fans would do. A medically trained expert can tell or guess correctly that I have Parkinson's but mostly anyone unaware cannot tell. Therefore I have not made it a major issue and I am not known I am not a celebrity do not want to be one and make no predictions of being one. But I have written this blog and the public at large have never heard of me. Better standards of treatment for this disease as well as treatments for other diseases are under way despite the fact that Parkinson disease is a progressive disease. There is no cure as what is stated as fact. Check it out. Nevertheless it is a very serious illness and it cannot be taken lightly just look how long Ronn Owens had had it but the generally public at large had not a clue. I didn't. And I have had this disease for as long as Ronn Owens has had it. Thus far I am quite capable of doing many things while other activities I cannot do due to the crippling effects or results of this diagnosis of moderate Parkinson's disease. I
still enjoy making public comments about certain topics of discussion and as far as my concerns at large my judgement should not be impaired but that is for the listener to decide when a caller calls up on KGO radio news talk to offer an opinion or understanding of say a news event. My neighbor next door
already had me identified when he recognized my voice when speaking with John McEnroe the famous
tennis player even though I gave only my first name. But you don't know me….or do you? Nerves Galore or this blog will not report on chess but my blog will explore the news as I have seen it and have been commenting on in public for years but for the most part remain nameless. My interest in the news will never end. And besides Marty Nemko a genius formally of KGO gave me his blessing to do what I am prepared to do in blog form. Am I capable?

The Industrialization of Chess
For those who have followed this blog mainly about my experiences on online chess you would think by now I have faded out and rode out on that black horse I sketched or drew from a digital picture and posted surely considered by some as a counterfeit drawing designed to look like an artist drawing a creation of original creation surely not a copy of a trace job. As I have stressed so many times tracing is an introduction to art it teaches the fundamental ways to create curves and lines structured to form pictures in which an ordinary person not skilled or gifted can produce his or her own drawing and call it one of their own. Someone had to draw it and if you did it was you. How wonderful! I was informed that online chess in a particular format was ended due to technological advances in other games and that this online chess is outdated. It has been some four years beginning in 2009 that I began writing about on line chess and you can scroll back with this blog to verify this fact. But machines as we all know or more precisely chess playing machines are faster than humans in making calculations and play better chess than the top rated grandmaster in chess or is a misconception of mine? You must decide. I can only offer my perceptions. The industrialization didn't come around for no reason at all machines will continue to out perform humans or at least aid in the manufacturing and productivity of our economy. Yes I am a sore loser when I get beaten by a human in chess but that is my problem. But I know some human chess players online use computers to up their ratings but to me it doesn't matter that they are cheating. Magnus Carlsen uses computers to practice up his game does he not? I say let computers play me and so what if they beat me. A vehicle on wheels can beat me or any human we all know that and I say so what? Let these chess playing computers train us to be better chess players but I say I'm not going to play any more chess games unless I can derive a means of fun entertainment to be so serious defeats the whole purpose of the game. It has to be game. Anybody want to have a little fun playing this game of chess can do it.
One of my biggest wins on online chess was when I lost a game. Now how could that be? Well my opponent has soundly beaten me and I suggested how could he had beaten me when my chess playing computer was one of the best so how in the world could his chess playing machine beat mine? Oh God this was fun for me and I had lost! He blurted out that oh no he would never do such a thing and cheat in this game of chess by letting a machine play for him. But of course I would never use a computer to play for me just to up my ratings. But I sure was having fun bluffing my opponent that I was doing so. I lied. That is a bluff. In poker bluffing is all about the game. So who says poker is more fun than chess. In chess I love to bluff! For those of you who regard chess a purely sacred intellectual stimulus I offer my apology.

Exercise Your Mind
Thus far I have played a total of 3,709 games of online chess all my opponents were rated in the lower rated category. I've concluded that to reach the more advanced ratings in online chess one must possess a remarkable memory and as I have noted some of the more advanced chess players can reproduce play by play each and every move of a game. This reminds me of humans who have this photographic memory and can recall a list of names merely by looking at the list for a brief second and holding this memory for the entire list. Most humans cannot do this. I question whether this is real intelligence. You might note my confidence when I'm on a winning streak but yes I have broken the losing streak to an extent and have begun at least a minor winning streak. They usually don't last that long sad enough to say. For senior citizens I'd say online chess is a good game to test for dementia the win to lost ratio may indicate a person's state of mind. Look at chess as a good mental exercise as you can pace yourself at your own rate and comfort level. Please make note of the super power nations that possess the top grandmasters in the world certainly a prestigious position to be in. As a tennis player I had helped train unknowingly a top grandmaster of chess although I was not his official trainer but my interest in his chess game when he was number one ranked in the United States inspire me to write this blog on chess and introduce online chess where anyone in the world can be at the opposite end of the chessboard and no you don't have to be a world class chess player. More often than not it makes me feel important even though I am far from being a competitive player. Why not you?

The Slump In The Game Is An Irritant At The Very Least
As we get older we must get bolder and are ability to sustain ourselves becomes more difficult all we can do is try our best and that may not be good enough. The best ranked player is a very young fellow fresh and alive as is the contestants in the singing talent show American Idol. Magnus Carlson just sings his heart out no not in harmony and words but in making the right moves of his chess pieces. I could quit this game at any time and it appears I draw nearer with each day. I will not know for sure. Call a it death of a recreational chess player online. It is going to happen. Taking a slump in the series of games is never a fun thing to do but we must a face the music and wait it out until the fill of this losing streak is over at least for the time being. I should know by now I've lost enough losing streaks to realize that I am coming with a vengeance to make good my loses with a series of wins. Even Joe Montana former quarter back for the San Francisco Forty Niners had told me over the air on a radio talk show where I was a caller what was on his mind when faced with limited time when a win or lost looked imminent and he replied that if you hate losing more than you like winning…yes I know easy for him to say as he was and is the champion. Let me think was not Bill Walsh one of his bosses yet Bill Walsh never excelled in football as a player but as a coach? I will go out in the game of chess not as a champion but I can say I know something of the game of chess. Be prepared to win but if you do lose more than you can win you don't have to take the game so serious it is only a game as fellow human chess player Edgar Mapoy once explained to me when he killed me once in a game. He was and is one of the best players I have played.

I've Got My Nerve Beware Of The Death Threat
One memorable chess game was when I was playing a player giving me a close game and to add to his advantage perhaps was that he took the trash talking chess game to the ultimate while during the course of the game. He was making death threats the very thing I feared and dreaded the most when deciding to venture into online chess games or not. But my concentration was so focused and centered on the game anything else would be a distraction and I wanted to win this game especially under the circumstances using low ball or dirty tactics. I would not stoop to his tactics and counteract. To make this story short he lost I won which made the victory all the more memorable as to this day I've got my bragging rights. Nevertheless I do take death threats in all seriousness. Psychos do exist and I had finally come face to face with one. My refusal to respond resulted in a non target I had provided . Lucky me though since I did win that game for he had every capability in winning that game. Play the lottery or better still play a good game of online chess it will or can make your day even though your life is being threatened with by chats of threat.

The Kite Launcher
A good break from chess will without doubt improve your game. Think of something simple and relaxing yet fun and invigorating like sitting outside beneath the sun and looking up all day and into the night. Over exposure to too many chess games will only show that one practices a lot and must look down upon a chess board unless you play with a giant electronic chess board mounted on the walls of a corporate wall. It is a very beautify day when you can break from chess and look up at the flight of a kite so natural in flight gliding around like an eagle. Hold on I will make this post worth your while. You don't need an estate large enough for a runway to launch a kite. I just looked it up and no one is credited for inventing the kite launcher but then so what who cares and needs to know? Pay attention to this time and date. Most recently I've been able to fly a kite almost anywhere and anytime with a kite launcher where before I had to go down to the Marina where the winds blew kites and sale boats. A simple 20 foot pole taller than the roof of your house will send the kite into any breeze quite nicely. A flag pole would do but send the kite up the pole rather than a flag making sure the kite is attached to a reel of kite string or a rope for those killer great white shark kites. You will be so relaxed and at peace from the tranquility and serenity of looking up at the heavens that then you will be ready to look down into the battlefield at the chessboard where I love nothing more than trapping an opponents queen with brutal force and witnessing a great assassination. A twenty foot pole attached to a basketball pole securely with those tie downs for truck loads would do to hold the extended pole in place. The body and mind needs to recuperate from the battle fatigue spent at chess. Being that it is unknown who invented the kite launcher or if it even works believe you me it works and I've designed a few already.
So when I say go fly a kite then just go out and do it. It is so fun and peaceful.
So when I say go fly a kite then just go out and do it. It is so fun and peaceful.

Things That Hover or Fly
Scroll back to October 2, 2011 and you will see objects that hover. It is with my fascination to see things fly. Look into the faces of little children whenever they spot a kite. They come running to the kite with utter instinct for a kite is a toy yes indeed but whenever I go into that huge toy store you know which one I mean I get total disregard and contempt for daring to ask such a question. The child in me has not gone away as even today's children stand in awe of an object like a kite knowing that it is designed to fly. Which brings to mind the next thing that will fly in greater numbers which is the flying car already developed in advance of what it could be but held on hold not yet available for the masses or the consumer. Now this break from chess gives me more room to widen my horizons rather than be stuck in a rut. To play better chess we must expand our minds away from pure chess for the mind will grow stagnant with no return for the time attempted for chess. Magnus Carlsen knows so many other pursuits rather than just chess. The children's fascination with kites is a perpetuation for future investments in flying objects and one of them is the car that can fly. The Wright brothers flew and studied the kite before they invented and first flew the first airplane right around 1903. It was clearly a stepping stone for the development of the airplane and now are attention can and will be directed toward the flying car unlike ever before. If chess can be so improved to its present day sophistication then why not are present day vehicles? The children of our future know what lies ahead for us our cars will fly.
