It Is Not All About Chess Necessarily
It has been many weeks since I worked this blog and this blogged centered on my chess game yet I have taken a long rest from the game and who knows when I shall return to this game. The original intent of this blog was to write what was on my mind and not just on chess but chess was something I did indulge in so I gave it time to work with and expose the game of chess as I experienced it. Now I focused on the perimeters of the game rather than the game itself and the gamesmanship. The next blog has already begun some time ago and it is known as Journalism Reports yet I cringed when I use that name because it can give a false sense of what such a blog is all about and numerous times I have explained it is not written by a professional journalist to the point of changing the name to maybe some name of a blog more appropriate about my mind rather than pretending to be a news reporter which I am not as no one is paying me a salary and I have written these blogs for years now having never been paid one red cent. Marty Nemko who launched me into blog writing know this and suggests that even though one does not write for money or payment writing is good for the soul and yes I need all the good soul that I can get. I covered this subject matter before. It was my wish that my real name be not revealed and as a caller to a radio station we never revealed our last name which was and is the magic formula for such a successful news talk show. But as many of my readers know bless you all my name has been revealed and oh yes I said that already. I'm being candid with you as my reader being careful with not being wild with personal opinion but at the same time not trying to convince my readers that what I report or write about is fact or the truth as my corporate bosses would like me to be or write about. Yes I met the famed writer Norman Mailer on the air and yes I was inspired by him and his style of writing and no I do not pretend or at least I should not pretend to be him the highly trained Harvard educated professional writer with a best seller beneath his belt. I am inspired by these assets but I have none of these qualities and if I should succeed or fail in whatever I do it was be causes of my highly trained education at the University of California at Berkeley which I attend. Wait hold the press stop the wheels. A correction need be made. I did attend such a school but took college courses for credit transferable to UC Berkeley for grades in which I did pass. I'm not trying to inflate my credentials any more than I am trying to deflate them. You might say my resume is right here on this page and this is the truth to as much of my ability to report the truth the whole truth and nothing but…wait wait. There is not the room for this. Yes it is also true I don't have a college degree although I took classes and received transfer credit to UC Berkeley as a sophomore in 1971. I was accepted to the school of UC Berkeley in approximately the year of 1967 but dropped out overwhelmed by what was going on there but I did succeed gaining college credit in transfer courses in psychology, economics 1a, economics 1b, history 10, German 10, English 1A, English 1B, political science, marketing. My transcripts would be more accurate and many times I have been asked for this information and now you have it. I lived out most of my life aged 66 but look much younger and so I say may I go down in history as being a good guy who desire to live the rest of my life as one in full who hoped to make this world a better world for everyone not just for myself. I wonder if it matters what I say since I am merely a small force in a limitless universe.
